Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, Neasden and Fenton House, Hampstead
Thursday 30 April 2020

In the morning, we will visit the Hindu Temple at Neasden, which opened in 1995.  It is a masterpiece of traditional Hindu design and Indian workmanship, built from limestone and marble.

We will have a short introduction, a video presentation and a guided tour of the Mandir. A traditional Indian vegetarian buffet lunch (buy your own drinks) is provided for the group in the Shayona Restaurant nearby.
As a contrast, in the afternoon, we will visit the National Trust property, Fenton House and Garden in Hampstead. Fenton House is a 17th Century property, which contains collections of porcelain, Georgian furniture and 17th century needlework. It also features early keyboard musical instruments.
Cost: £35 which includes coach and the cost of the buffet lunch. Please pay for your own drinks and you may wish to make a donation to the Temple.

Fenton House is a National Trust property; if you are a member, please bring your card. If you are not a member, the entrance is £9.50.

Tickets are limited and go on sale at the February meeting.
